AdA’s 2020 program has not started due to Covid19.
We will now start in the spring of 2022 with a series of one-week Masterclasses.
The masterclasses emphasise the craft and provide the opportunity to get acquainted with the method of Joke Frima’s apprenticeship programs.
The Masterclasses are scheduled on:
17/04 – 23/04/2022 (spring break) 01/05 – 07/05/2022 (Easter holiday) 22/05 – 28/05/2022 (Ascension week) 05/06 – 11/06/2022 (Pentecost week)
The masterclass is from Monday to Friday,
from 9 am to 12 am and from 2 pm to 5 pm
In September 2022 we will start with the studio program of 3 months
(Further details on this will be announced later.
(The apprenticeship program described below will start in the near future.)
For the full atelier/apprenticeship programme applications are accepted throughout the year. At the beginning of every trimester.
AdA is an atelier and not a school. The Three Year Atelier/Apprenticeship programme is divided into three years or periods, the beginning, the advanced and the further advanced student. The exact time spent in each period will be individually adapted. This depends on the personal development and progress of the student. Students can register for three months at the beginning of each trimester.
The languages in which the instruction is given are English, French, Italian and Dutch.
For those who are not yet sure whether the Programme for a whole year is suitable for them, we offer a trial period of three months, after which the student can decide whether or not to continue.
This programme is for those who do not have the opportunity to participate in the Three-Year Atelier Programme. The bespoke content of their Programme is put together in consultation with Joke Frima, the course director, depending on personal circumstances and ability.
The part-time programme consists of at least three months and the same applies to the Introductory trimester.
After successful completion of the full-time curriculum, a Diploma Certificate will be awarded.

The Atelier Programme is from Monday to Friday,
three hours session in the morning and three hours in the afternoon, from 9 am to 12 am and from 2 pm to 5 pm
